It was like something out of an episode of television movies, NCIS, or The FBI. A thousand prominent dignitaries gathered at an American press gala with the U.S. president as the guest of honor, when suddenly gunshots rang out, and all the guests were evacuated in a panic or hid under the tables…
In the end, the shooter was subdued, but he had tried to storm into the ballroom running like a football player carrying the ball. He was carrying a long-range rifle slung over his shoulder, two handguns, and combat knives.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens next, but after the event, for the first time since 2016, the journalists and President Trump seemed to “like” each other… The violence has brought about the impossible, as in the movie…
