ARMCHAIR DETECTIVES AND THE GUTHRIE FAMILY

Americans (and the rest of the world) have been playing "armchair detectives" for almost two weeks...
The disappearance of Nancy Guthrie (84 and living alone), the mother of NBC host Savannah Guthrie, has become a real detective thriller or a Netflix series, with all the American media and their listeners trying to solve the enigma. Even U.S. President Donald Trump has gotten involved, giving the FBI official permission to put all its resources to work on the case.
Google is also assisting the investigation, and thanks to its artificial intelligence technology, it has been possible to trace visual recordings of one of the intruders, images held as digital information in Google's cloud archives. The AI was able to transform the information and reformat it into images.
If there's a conclusion to be drawn, it's that in the end, we'll have to see who wins the battle, the human bandits or the artificial intelligence used by law enforcement agencies.
