READING IN 2026

READING IN 2026-
By Bernard Bujold -
What can you give a man like me who doesn’t covet anything? One gift that always makes me happy is a book. For Christmas and New Year’s 2026, my two children—my son and my daughter—gave me a classic work of science fiction: Snow Crash.
The novel was published in 1992, at the very dawn of the internet, but even today in 2026, it is still considered the "bible" of the digital age. The author foresaw the "meta-worlds" (the Metaverse) as we know them today, as well as the rise of artificial intelligence.
I’ve placed the novel on my bedside table; it will be my go-to read for a perfect start to 2026!
