In 2026, Artificial intelligence will be the center, and one entrepreneur who will probably dominate is Elon Musk.
What distinguishes Elon Musk is not simply success, wealth, or ambition. He appears to be operating under a
fundamentally different set of rules. Traditional comparisons to Ford, Rockefeller, Carnegie, Vanderbilt, Gates, or Bezos miss the point. Those figures were optimized within a single industry during periods when capital, information, and competition moved slowly.
Musk, by contrast, is operating simultaneously across multiple capital-intensive and foundational sectors of the global economy.
At 53, Musk has already built companies that dominate automobiles, space launch, satellite communications, artificial intelligence, robotics, and energy systems.
