THE POPULARITY OF JESUS

THE POPULARITY OF JESUS ...
By Bernard Bujold -
The assassination of Charlie Kirk gave incredible momentum to the development of his TURNING POINT movement.
Before his death, the movement had approximately 900 official college chapters and 1,200 high school chapters, totaling around 2,100 active groups scattered mainly across the United States.
Since his death, it is reported that more than 37,000 groups from around the world have expressed interest in joining TURNING POINT, including about 20 from Canada.
TURNING POINT is a political organization that promotes right-wing thinking among young people, university students, and others, but with the religious aspect of Jesus as its central inspiration. The organization is very financially sound, with annual revenues of over $81 million in 2023 and a total value of over $100 million. Revenues come from numerous donations (large private foundations and individual donations), while conferences bring in between $50,000 and $100,000 each, and book sales supplement revenues.
In a sense, the organization is like an American-style church, i.e., a commercial one. While Americans are known to be very individualistic, they are also very religious and do not hesitate to contribute financially. Americans are about 70% identify as Christian, with generous giving to faith-aligned causes (average $1,200+ per household annually to religion/nonprofits).
We can conclude that religion in the United States is a lucrative and popular field and that the future looks very promising for the continuation of Charlie Kirk's movement. Erika Kirk (his wife) has promised to continue the work and the movement.
It can be said that Jesus is more popular than ever...
