OTTAWA ET LA BELLE ÉPOQUE - ÉDIFICE LANGEVIN

La colline du Parlement à Ottawa et en particulier l'édifice Langevin demeure dans mes souvenirs parmi les plus romantiques et marque une belle époque de ma vie.
C'était à l'automne de 1984 alors que j'étais dans l'entourage de Brian Mulroney élu premier ministre du Canada en septembre 84.
J'avais mon bureau d'adjoint au rez-de-chaussée de Langevin et je me souviens encore, comme si c'était hier, des nombreuses marches effectuées pour traverser la colline et me rendre à l'édifice du centre (le Parlement canadien.
Évidemment c'était la belle époque, car en février 2022 on peut dire que c'est une époque difficile et robuste...

OTTAWA AND THE GOOD OLD DAYS

Parliament Hill in Ottawa, and in particular the Langevin Building, remains one of my most romantic memories and marks a beautiful time in my life.
It was in the fall of 1984 when I was in the entourage of Brian Mulroney who was elected Prime Minister of Canada in September 1984.
I had my assistant's office on the first floor of Langevin and I still remember, as if it were yesterday, the many walks I had to make to get across the hill to get to the Centre Block (the Canadian Parliament).
Obviously it was the beautiful time, because in February 2022 we can say that it is a difficult and robust time...
