LA FIN DU MONDE À LA BASILIQUE NOTRE-DAME DE MONTRÉAL

Il est écrit dans la Bible qu'un jour arrivera la fin du monde...
On pourrait croire que nous vivons cet événement en 2021 tellement les institutions et toute notre civilisation tombent.
La dernière victime est la Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal qui est en situation financière de faillite et on parle même de la vendre à la Caisse de dépôt ou directement au gouvernement.
J'ai beaucoup visité la Basilique au cours des ans.
J'ai assisté à plusieurs funérailles de gens célèbres dont Paul Desmarais, René Angélil et Gilles Carle; j'ai entendu en spectacle Gérard Depardieu lire Saint-Augustin; j'ai assisté à une exposition papale; je me suis assis dans le banc où s'était assis Fidel Castro lors des funérailles de Pierre Elliott Trudeau; et j'ai nommé la Basilique en réponse à quelqu'un qui me demandait dans quel endroit j'aimerais mourir...
Si j'étais très heureux lorsque l'experte en musée, Manon Blanchette, était devenue la directrice de la Fabrique, j'ai été très surpris de la voir quitter à cause d'une querelle avec l'organisation concernant une commandite de Quebecor...
Voilà que je vis en 2021, l'effondrement total de cette institution qu'est la Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal.
On peut dire que la fin du monde est arrivée!

We could believe that we are living this event in 2021 so much the institutions and all our civilization fall.
The latest victim is the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal which is in a financial situation of bankruptcy and there is even talk of selling it to the Caisse de dépôt or directly to the government.
I have visited the Basilica a lot over the years.
I have attended many funerals of famous people such as Paul Desmarais, René Angélil and Gilles Carle; I have heard Gérard Depardieu read Saint-Augustine in a show; I have attended a papal exposition; I have sat in the pew where Fidel Castro sat at the funeral of Pierre Elliott Trudeau; and I named the Basilica in response to someone who asked me where I would like to die...
While I was very happy when the museum expert, Manon Blanchette, became the director of the Fabrique, I was very surprised to see her leave because of a quarrel with the organization over a Quebecor sponsorship...
In 2021, I saw the total collapse of the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal.
We can say that the end of the world has arrived!
