Juste avant la fermeture de mon libraire favori Indigo, j'ai pu mettre la main sur le nouvel ouvrage de science-fiction "STAR TREK PICARD - The Last Best Hope". 
La nouvelle mission de Jean-Luc Picard est de sauver par l'évacuation la planète des ROMULAN (900 millions d'habitants) laquelle est menacée de destruction par un SUPERNOVA (implosition d'une planète). 
On pourrait comparer le défi à celui du Coronavirus sur Terre. Les Romulan sont un peuple très secrets (comme les Chinois) et il gardait cachée la menace du Supernova sur leur planète, ce qui aurait été un danger pour les autres planètes voisines. 
Le récit du livre est aussi l'entrée en matière de la nouvelle série Star Trek: Picard diffusée sur la télévision par abonnement web CBS All Access. La planète Terre aurait peut-être besoin d'un Jean-Luc Picard pour combattre le Coronavirus, qui est une réalité...

CORONAVIRUS AND STAR TREK Just before the closing of my favourite bookseller Indigo, I got my hands on the new science fiction book "STAR TREK: PICARD - The Last Best Hope". 
The new mission of Jean-Luc Picard is to save by evacuation the planet of the ROMULAN (900 million inhabitants) which is threatened of destruction by a SUPERNOVA (implosion of a planet) ). 
One could compare the challenge to that of the Coronavirus on Earth. The Romulan is a very secretive people (like the Chinese) and kept the threat of Supernova on their planet hidden, which would have been a danger to other nearby planets. The story of the book is also the introduction to the new series Star Trek: Picard broadcast on CBS All Access web subscription television. 
Planet Earth may need a Jean-Luc Picard to fight the Coronavirus, which is our reality...
